Bike Check at Market on Main
Thanks to Mia Yue from the Wasatch Trail Foundation and Tori Broughton from the local Trek Store on main street for organizing and running the bike check all summer long
I'm running for city council because I love this place! I want to protect our beautiful open spaces, keep our air and water clean, make sure Heber stays affordable, build more trails and paths so we can all get around easily, and create places where we can gather and strengthen community.
Protect Heber Valley from urban sprawl through conservation easements, zoning that matches our general plan to preserve the majority of land as open space with public access and follow Midway's example. Put an open space bond on the ballot and preserve what we can for future generations.
Expand our sensitive lands ordinance to protect more drainage areas and Heber Valley's water supply.
Work with the county to expand transit. We need a bus going from Provo Airport, through Heber, directly to the Salt Lake City Airport and the reverse.
Having adequate supply and good transportation options can ease the pressure we have on the high cost of living. Keep the building concentrated downtown. The current city council has designated 150 W to 150 E as higher density, and that's where we should keep the density. Let's make it easier for homeowners to add an additional dwelling unit at their primary residence.
We need better connections within Heber and connecting Heber. Let's follow the county master trail plan and get those trails built along the canals, Center Street, and more. Here is a picture of my ebike commute to Deer Valley :) Don't let a little snow stop you!
